Service Ceiling

The service ceiling is the density altitude at which an aircraft's best rate of climb drops to a defined minimum (commonly 100 ft/min). Business jets certified to 45,000–51,000 ft can cruise above most weather and airline traffic, which improves ride quality, routing flexibility and fuel efficiency.
