The Bombardier CRJ900 is a stretched regional jet seating 76 to 90 passengers, part of the best-selling CRJ family derived from the Challenger business jet. It introduced a redesigned interior with larger windows and bins, and uses GE CF34-8C5 engines for efficient short-to-medium regional operations. The CRJ program is now supported by MHI RJ Aviation following Mitsubishi Heavy Industries acquisition of the type certificate.
