About the Dash 8-300
The De Havilland Canada Dash 8-300 — part of the Dash 8 / Q Series family — is a regional airliner aimed at short- and medium-haul regional routes. It entered service in 1989 and is now a long-serving design with a deep support and parts network, developed in Canada.
On performance, it offers a maximum range of about 800 nautical miles and a cruise of roughly 287 knots. It seats up to 56 passengers and is powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123 engines.
Its 800 nm range makes it well matched to short-haul hops and local operations. It is flown by a two-pilot crew and is approved for IFR flight.
