The Diamond DA40 NG (Next Generation) is a four-seat, low-wing composite trainer powered by a Austro Engine AE300 turbo-diesel engine producing 168 hp on Jet-A fuel, introduced in the NG variant as a cost-efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to avgas-powered trainers. It features a modern composite airframe, a full Garmin G1000 NXi glass cockpit, and a spring-steel main landing gear. The DA40 NG is widely used by aviation academies seeking lower fuel costs and longer TBO intervals.
