About the Saab 2000

The Saab Saab 2000 — part of the Saab 2000 family — is a regional airliner aimed at short- and medium-haul regional routes. It entered service in 1994 and is now an established, widely-supported design, developed in Sweden.

On performance, it offers a maximum range of about 1,250 nautical miles and a cruise of roughly 370 knots. It seats up to 58 passengers and is powered by 2 Allison (Rolls-Royce) AE 2100A engines.

Its 1,250 nm range makes it well matched to regional and short-to-medium legs. It is flown by a two-pilot crew and is approved for IFR flight.
