Saab 340
The Saab 340 is a twin-turboprop regional commuter airliner developed jointly by Saab and Fairchild, entering service in 1984. The improved 340B and 340B Plus variants feature more powerful GE CT7-9B engines and winglets, seating 35 passengers over ranges of up to 935 nautical miles. Production ended in 1999 with 459 aircraft built, and many continue in regional service worldwide especially in Australia and North America.
